Frank Haase: I love my PETs

Frank Haase often deals with waste and recycling in his work. This is also the case in this art video. It is a homage to the many ways in which PET bottles can be recycled, including upcycling, as the main character in his film “I love my PETs”, which uses light and color to create a special aesthetic and transform the product into a completely different atmosphere. The ambiguity of the film’s title alludes to the author’s fascination with this widespread product. As usual, the artist works with the simplest of means. In addition to his cell phone camera, he uses some light, aluminum foil and three PET bottles.
