Frank Haase often deals with waste and recycling in his work. This is also the case in this art video. He pays homage to the versatile possibilities of the usability of PET bottles up to upcycling as the main actor in his film “I love my PETs”, which creates a special aesthetic with light and color and transforms the product into a completely different atmosphere. The title of the film, with its ambiguity, alludes to the author’s fascination with this widespread product. As usual, the artist works with the simplest means. In addition to his mobile phone camera, some light, aluminum foil and three PET bottles are used.
