Mysterien-Nacht Tutzing

New music meets art and church. Concert happening in a juxtaposition of new music by Mark Andre and early music by H. I. Biber, surrounded by programmatically inspired video spatial art by Manuela Hartel.

The challenge in bringing together music and media art is not to hinder the intensive listening of music through the power of images. In this program, Mark Andre investigates the question of how the silence of heaven could sound.B, for example, in the Revelation of John. Many of his works are inspired by Biblical texts. Does silence also have a color? Does it need a room and what does it look like?

The multimedia installation REZIPROKUS by UNPAINTED artist Manuela Hartel strengthens the auditory through the visual level, highlights it and plays with it. Seeing intensifies hearing, it is directed inwards via the eyes. The images reflect the communication with one’s own inner voice and help to break down the boundaries of New Music by incorporating the famous “Mystery Sonatas” from the Baroque period. The result is a dramaturgical process of merging.

After the concert, the spatial projection can be seen for another two weeks in the sanctuary of the Christuskirche in Tutzing and will still stimulate reflection on light, silence, spatial and temporal dimensions when viewing the images in the process of disappearance.
