Veronika Veit: Dirt as a Pet

Dirt as a Pet, an art video by Veronika Veit, is about a couple’s dispute over household duties. Both feel at a disadvantage and both attribute this to their role as a woman or man. In the course of the film, the world in which the couple moves shifts, and finally also the roles of the two as men and women. Both are played by an actress, so that the conversation becomes an inner dialogue. The film was shot in front of the green screen and later moved to a doll’s house.

The work was shown in December 2020 at Art in the City Center – Light 2.0 in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm.
