Based on interior design, the new “Interior” works by New York artist Nicole Cohen deal with the textures and patterns that you respond to when decorating or looking for samples of what connects to your identity for a space. Swabs, feel, color palettes, and tests in location are what inspires these works. These collage/paintings breakdown possibilities of how identity is formed in your domestic setting and mirrors who we are and what can be possible to transform a space, which mimics a state of
mind.
