The listed Munich PostPalast on Arnulfstraße, built from 1925 onwards, served the post office as a parcel sorting and distribution centre. Since 2005, the building, which is also known as “Arnulfpost”, has been known to many as an event location. In 2014, the UNPAINTED Media Art Fair also took place here. Now the American technology group Alphabet (Google) has taken over the 50,000 square meter area. A development center is to be built here by 2024. Ecological sustainability and the simple exchange of know-how and ideas should play a key role in the planning. The building complex is getting a facelift with some new connecting corridors. 1,500 employees are to work here. The outdoor areas are to be made more appealing with the planting of numerous trees. Google also wants to make a contribution to the Munich innovation ecosystem. We are looking forward to the future of the Postpalast!
