On the evening of October 16, 2021, at the Long Night of Museums in Munich, a special spectacle took place at St Korbinian Church in the Munich Sendling neighborhood: artists and those affected made an appeal for decisive action against abuse of children with the video installation “Shadowlight”. The project, which has already been widely discussed in the press, depicted the topic of abuse with the light art of Philipp Geist and a dance choreography by Pedro Dias with dancers from the independent dance scene in Munich – also from the perspective of Agnes Wich, who herself was affected by it and presents her biography in a poem. The Catholic Church’s handling of the issue of abuse was also critically questioned and addressed in an appeal.
